In an effort to ensure Virginians have access to their benefits as soon as possible, VDSS began mailing SUN Bucks 2025 cards to automatically enrolled households in the first week of July. Please note that your benefits will not become available on SUN Bucks or SNAP EBT cards until July 18, even if you receive a SUN Bucks card in the mail before that date. If you don’t receive your new card by July 18, don’t worry! Benefits will continue to be issued on a rolling basis, so households can expect to receive their SUN Bucks cards at different times.

TCPS Calendar for 2025-2026 is shared with this post. The first day of school is Monday, August 18. That will be a full school day with no early release scheduled.
RES Teacher Assignment Letters will be mailed during the last part of July.
Our Back to School Orientation Evenings are scheduled for:
Second, Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grades will be on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
ECSE, PreK, Kindergarten, and First Grades will be on Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The 2025 Task Summer Program is accepting applications for Group B only, which will be held on June 23-July 3 at Tazewell Middle School from 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
The program is for middle and high school students with an IEP or 504 Plan.
