Pre-Kindergarten/HS/EHS Registration Event for
Richlands Elementary and Cedar Bluff Elementary
At Richlands High School Football Field
April 24, 2025
3:00 – 6:00 pm
We will have several stations and a drawing for bicycles.
RES 5th graders enjoyed the instrument petting zoo put on by the RHS Band. Our students enjoyed learning about and trying out each instrument.
RES is celebrating Autism Awareness this week, March 31-April 4.
Bus Changes-3/28/25
Richlands Area:
Bus 5 will not run this evening. Buses 1, 64, 65, and 14 will bring those students home.
Tazewell Area:
Bus 20 will not run this evening. Buses 48, 34, and 33 will bring those students home.
Congratulations to the RES 5th grade Reading Bee team on being the overall winners!
The 4th and 5th grade Reading Bee teams at RES competed today! We want to congratulate each of the students and coaches. You did an amazing job and represented RES well!
RES students in ECSE, Pre-K, 1st, and 2nd grade were blessed to watch The RHS Drama Club present The Wizard of Oz today. It was amazing!
The Cumberland Plateau Health District will be offering required school vaccinations in April for rising 7th and 12th-grade students. Pre-registration is required. You can go to https://redcap.link/cpspring25 to pre-register.
Richlands Elementary is having a Title I Family Engagement Night on April 3 from 4-6 pm. Everyone is welcome.
Mrs. Tucker’s 5th graders worked on mean, median, mode, and range today by stacking cookies to create data sets. #resfunlearning #ittakesavillage
RES yearbooks are on sale! Extra forms are located in the office. The price is $30 each.
RES students will have dress up days the week of March 17-21 to show support for the RHS Drama Club as they prepare their performance of The Wizard of Oz.
RES has is participating in the American Heart Association - Kids Heart Challenge. Please see the flyer to participate.

Through Finn’s Mission, you’ll learn the lifesaving skill of Hands-Only CPR and how to recognize a stroke. Here are the next steps to take today:

Spring Break this year starts on Friday, April 18, and ends on April 22nd. Students, faculty, and staff will return to school on Wednesday, April 23rd.!
Richlands Area:
Bus 15 will not run today.
Bus 97 will pick up kids down to the college.
Buses 35 and 77 will pick up bus 15 students in College Estates.
Friday March 14th:
Tazewell Area:
No Bus 20
Bus 33 will pick up to Rasnake Road.
Bus 34 will pick up Mundytown and Rasnake Road to Adria Road.
Richlands Area:
No bus 5.
Bus 1 will pick up Taylor Circle and Mill Creek Road.
Bus 14 will pick up Rodeo, Westmont and Reedy Rd.
Bus 64 will pick up 4 Lane West Bound.
Bus 65 will pick up Silver Spur and Food City Gas and Go.
All TCPS graduation ceremonies will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025!
Graham High School’s will be held at 10 a.m.
Tazewell High School’s will be held at 1 p.m.
Richlands High School’s will be held at 4 p.m.
Our school board announced tonight that the last day of school for this academic year will be June 5, 2025 for students and June 6, 2025 for teachers.
