All Tazewell County Public Schools will be closed on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, through Friday, November 28, 2025, for Thanksgiving Break. School will resume on Monday, December 1st.
RES students were caught being good last week and their classrooms got to spin the Wheel of Goodness to win a prize for the class. Congratulations to Mrs. VanDyke/ Spencer's Pre-K, Mrs. Griffith's Kindergarten, Mrs. Lowe's 1st grade, Ms. Sharon Herndon's 2nd grade, Mrs. Gilbert's 3rd grade, Ms. Lori Luttrell's 4th grade class, and Mrs. Dales' 5th grade class. RES Class Ornament 2025 order information is attached. The last day to order is Wednesday, November 19.
Tazewell County's Special Education Advisory Committee will meet on November 19th at 1 p.m. at the TCCTC Student Center.
Everyone in our community is invited to attend the RES Wonder Fest Event on December 6 from 9:00 - 12:00. We will have Pancakes with the Grinch, Face Painting, Inflatables, a Petting Zoo, Crafts, Admission to the Santa Store, and a free toy to every child provided by Toys for Tots.

You are invited to attend the RES Veterans Day program in the auditorium at Richlands Middle School on Friday, November 7, 2025 at 1:00 pm.
October 27-31, 2025 RES will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week and being drug free. Please remember that TCPS will be having Fall Break October 31 - November 4 and students will return to school Wednesday, November 5.
Izzy Horn, Miss Russell County Fair visited RES today. She shared a story with our first graders about being true to yourself and provided a Be You button for each student.
