RES Homecoming Week September 29- October 3, 2025. Join us in celebrating Homecoming Week as Richlands Blue Tornados plays the Grundy Golden Wave on October 3.

We are so proud of our RES September Students of the Month!

Conexus Vision Screenings will be at RES to conduct the vision screenings for newly enrolled, Kindergarten and third graders on October 14, 2025.

Reminder: Fall Picture Day at RES will be tomorrow, Tuesday, September 23. You will receive a proof.

Richlands Elementary School had a Family Engagement Meeting on Thursday, September 18, 2025. Over 340 parents and students attended. Students solved problems with the interactive Lu, played educational games, received books and materials for them to use at home with family, and frolicked in the foam from the foam machine.

Each school will send home consent forms and parent letters for the flu clinics. You may also see your school nurse for the consent forms. Consent forms must be returned by students and staff by October 15th.

Family Engagement Meeting on Thursday, September 18 from 4:00 - 6:00 at RES. There will be food, inflatables, and educational games.

Fall Picture Day at RES will be September 23. You will receive a proof.

Beginning tomorrow, Monday, September 15 we will begin our penny war fundraiser in Pre-K through 5th grade. It will end on Friday, September 26. Each grade will have a bucket to put their money in and the grade raising the most will receive a special reward October 3, 2025.

The Special Education Advisory Committee Meeting will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 17th at 4 p.m. in the Student Center at Tazewell County Career and Technical Center.
